The Ironman Timex is a classic watch. The main difference with this particular watch is the color (orange). I have received many comments regarding my watch and where I purchased it.

The face of the watch can be a little big on a smaller wrist...it it is slightly bigger than the classic black ironman watch.

So far, I love it! I switch back and forth with the classic black ironman timex.

Finally, I can see the day, time, & date without reading glasses. I use this one as an everyday watch, I got tired of squinting to tell time. The indiglo is nice too. As far as laps, diving underwater, all that stuff I don't use. I have a garmin forerunner for that, and it's too big for everyday use.

I bought this watch for my husband for Father's Day and he loves it. He said he wouldn't workout without it. It makes timing laps super easy and you can set it to go off every 30 seconds (or whatever time you want) to do interval training. He said his workouts would be possible without this watch. His only complaint is that the band is too small. He can still wear it fine, but to get it on and off he has to undo the whole band. But he likes the fit the Velcro band gives and really loves the watch.

I've had this watch for several years. I love the size, the feel, the ease of seeing the time without having to rotate my wrist. The Optimal Viewing Angle is really neat, and does just what Timex says it is supposed to do. My only complaint is the poorly designed molded wrist band, which fails along the top of the case. This has happened four times to me, just about every six months even though I've been careful in wearing the watch and not stressing the band. Since the band is molded to the case, it is not user repairable. You can get it repaired for $10 through Timex. But you would think that Timex would wake up and design a better, more robust band system.

Have owned several of these watches over the years. Watch is indestructable. Battery has lasted at least 5 years. Velcro watchband will wear out and need replaced Lots
of functions.Accurate time keeping. Use it for running, swimming, surfing, anywhere.
It's light, easy to use, great night indiglo light. Can't break it. Sent one to my
son. He loved it, lost it,and I sent him another. Not a particularly pretty watch,
but decent enough for daily wear. Hope it isn't discontinued. Highly recommend it.

This watch replaced an older Ironman watch, & it does so much more! My primary reason for this watch was for the interval timers which I have been accustomed to using when I do 1/2 marathons. This watch does that & so much more.

The pedometer is awesome. I am still trying to get my step in sync with miles. Right now, I am about 1.5 miles in advance. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Timex finally made a watch almost as good as their old, discontinued 100 lap triathlon watch. This one has large, easy to read digits too, and not as tinny glued-on aluminum plates as some of their other models - these plates eventually fell off of those models, which I tried before getting this watch. The old 100 lap triathlon watch didn't have any plates and held up great for years, before I lost it.

I have owned this system for about 1 year and have never had any problems with it. The unit syncs within a couple of minutes, once I'm outside and I have never had issues with the link being broken. On the rare occasion that the connection is lost (ducking under a shelter for water, for instance), it picks it back up almost immediately. I am running my first marathon in 3 weeks and finished a 21-miler yesterday. The real life pacing information helped me through that run--and will help me stay on target for the marathon. For the money, I would recommend this product. It does what it says and that's good enough for me.

I replace my outdoor watch about once a year. For sport activities and general running around this watch is dandy. It is waterproof, keeps time in two zones, and has multiple alarms. I don't use the lap feature because I don't participate in competitive sports, but my friend owns the same watch and she likes to use that feature and thinks it works well.

The watch is in shades of blue and grey. It has a somewhat sleek and feminine profile which makes a nice transition to casual surroundings. My watch takes a beating because I am not careful, but this watch is holding up well and doesn't have any scratches after six month. I like the indiglo feature and the digital display which makes it easy to see. It is comfortable and fully adjustable on a small to average sized wrist.
This watch is readily available at big box stores and is competitively priced so you can get it at a lower price point than retail.

I bought this watch a few months ago. I chose this one over the Garmin 405CX because I was looking for something a little more functional for biking...plus it has better battery life. I have used the Garmin 405CX a few times and I like the Timex better. The screen is bigger and it feels like a normal watch. I'm an average 21 year old male and I don't think the watch itself is ridiculously huge. It fits my wrist nicely and I barely notice it once I start running or riding.

I've read reviews about how the GPS isn't very accurate. They most have fixed that problem in a firmware update when they released their Run Trainer because as far as I can tell the GPS data I get from the GT follows very very closely to what I get from my bike's odometer as well as mapmyrun.com.

Training Peaks is the only downside to the GT. I don't want to pay for the premium software but the free version works just fine for any normal person.

I work overnights and do tons of documentation. Having a watch that helps me keep track of the date (it changes during my shift) and the day of the week (which gets lost in the shuffle when you work nights) as well as military time makes note writing a snap. And I cannot abide without a second hand - which is rare bird with a digital watch. The illumination of the digits as well as the glowing hands are plenty in a darkened patient's room. And it has so far stood up to more dunkings and hand washings than I care to count. I've banged the crystal on door frames and bed rails without any damage and without band clasp release.

Additionally...I have tiny girl wrists, and while it isn't a small watch, it isn't a huge monster on my arm either and have had no issue getting the extra links taken out of the band for a perfect fit.

Highly recommended.

I love this watch. I train for marathons and half marathons doing the 5 and 1 method. That is where you set the watch on a loop to beep after 5 minutes (so you can do a walk break)and then it beeps again after 1 minute to start you running again. You can set watch to do this for a period of time or set it on a continuous loop. I love the Flix System because you just have to flick your wrist to stop the beeping. You just have to make sure the blue light is activated for this feature. Great training watch for the beginner and experienced runner without having to buy a heart monitor.

Just what I was looking for. All of the functions that I need in one place.

Previously, I had a Heart Rate Monitor for one wrist and Watch for the other. While effective, it was cumbersome. With this monitor, I have both Time and Heart Rate at the same time.

Instructions are straight-forward (can download from Timex). Features include Lap Times, Cumulatives, etc. Avg HR by lap and total Time-in-Zone (within a particular range) are excellent features.

Some have had problems with the chest strap. No problem for my 42" chest.

I am concerned that there are no replacement bands. With my previous watches/monitors, I replaced the band every 2-3 years. I would like to know that I can replace this one if/when necessary.

In Summary, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent value for the price. Watch is sturdy and has a good, solid feel to it. Easy to use buttons to change modes. Feel comfortable when I'm wearing it either during a workout or just going about my daily routine. The only change I would like is to have the Indigo light stay on longer when I push the button for a display.
